A classic and often used pattern for simplicity and for ease of laying. As it states within the name these tiles are laid in an off-set pattern like bricks with a height that is at least half the size of the width, using subway, square or rectangular tiles to achieve the desired look. Sometimes known as ‘brick pattern’ as is the most commonly used pattern in brickwork.

Here we have our honed, Calacatta Marble Metro Tiles. A brilliant staple for your home, easily matched with every colour and tone. We have accessorised the marble with copper taps, rusted bronze vases and dark brown shower accessories to truly contrast.

Herringbone

The popular and timeless herringbone pattern is a style that is definitely worth your patience and time as the end result is stunning and truly captivating. Quirky with its un-parallel features the design itself can be achieved using any rectangle-shaped tiles. The perfect contemporary antidote.

Imagine yourself walking into the bathroom, as an example. In front of you are these gorgeous Calacatta Amber Marble Herringbone Tiles readily available for you here at Starel Stones. Laid before your eyes in an inviting zig-zag pattern. Boasting soft, easy to the eye greys and inherit fabulously bright white streaking. Aesthetically pleasing and best matched with white render. The warm white colour is easily matched with any other colour, being a natural statement piece. Herringbone tiles can be used on any floor, hearths, countertops, feature walls and so many more possibilities.

Stack bond tiling is a popular straight tile laying pattern. Tiles can be laid both horizontally or vertically to create differential looks. Simple yet stylish.

As an example, we have here our beautiful, warm, Calacatta amber marble only available in honed finish laid on a bathroom floor. Showing comparisons of the colours within the amber marble tiles, against the white hessian cloth, pine basket and brush.

Chequerboard

Vintage, fashion statement chequerboard tiles are making a comeback. Great for creating the style absolute. White is pure light and black is the absence of light, creating the perfect contrast. Our honed, Checkerboard Calacatta & Nero Marquina Marble Tiles simply show the distinction between both the marbles and our dog ”Chess” who is perfectly Nero and Calcatta herself.

Modular

Modular, a tile pattern that is often overlooked but still used today. Is achieved by laying a network of different tile shapes, sizes, and formats to create a unique pattern on your walls and floors in any interior or exterior space. Mixing and matching various squares and rectangles to create the desired effect. Often known as flagstone tiles, will make a statement to any of your projects.
